Crunchyroll and Funimation Join Forces!

Some awesome news happened in the Anime world happened today!!

Crunchyroll, the leading force in streaming anime services and Funimation, the top company in Anime home distribution have joined forces to bring you more Anime!!


So what does that entail?  With this partnership, both companies will work together to bring you cross streaming opportunies for various shows, broadcast subtitled and dubbed episodes of your favorite shows; including those being streamed simultaneously, and Funimation will help as a distrubuter of Crunchyroll content when it ready for home release (DVD, Blu Ray).

If that wasn’t enough, Crunchyroll has made some Funimation simulcast shows on their streaming service immediately for viewing.  Those shows are D. Gray Man Hollow, First Love Monster, and Puzzle & Dragons X.  Selected Funimation titles such as Cowboy Bebop, Psycho-Pass, and Grimar of Fire and Ash are also avaliable for viewing.

Funimation has announced that dubbed espisodes will be avaliable for the following Crunchyroll shows: 91 Days, Orange, and Mob Psycho 100.  More dubbed episodes will be announced by Funimation when scheduled.

Two videos have also made their way to Twitter and Youtube, explaining the new releationship between the two brands.

Even though they look the same, they are two seperate videos.

This is great news, as recently Hulu a few months ago dropped a lot of anime on their streaming service.  What’s also great is now I can have access to Funimation titles on my Crunchyroll account with paying any extra.

Congrats to Funimation and Crunchyroll on their partnership!  I cannot wait to see what else they have in store for all the fans!
