Moon Day 9/28/2015

Here’s the summaries for the two classic Sailor Moon Super S episodes that will launch tomorrow, September 28, on Hulu and Viz’s Neon Alley.

Episode 144: “Sparkling Summer Days! Ami, the Girl in the Ocean Breeze.”

It’s summer break, and the scouts head off to the beach.  Usagi’s brother Shingo tags along.  After protecting the girls from some hooligans, Ami thanks Shingo.  He starts blushing, which causes the others to suspect that he has a crush on Ami.  Meanwhile, Zirconia reams into the Amazon trio yet again after numerous failures in finding and capturing Pegasus.  This prompts her to choose a target for them, which turns out to be none other than Ami (Sailor Mercury).  She assigns it to Tigers Eye and says that of he fails, he will pay the consequences.  Even though the scouts do have their new forms, we do not see any new attacks or transformations in this episode.  It is also Shingo’s last appearence in the Sailor Moon anime.

Episode 145: “Aim for the Prima! Usagi’s Ballet.”

Usagi and Chibi Usa see an ad for tryouts for the Jazzell Ballet.  Both decide to go.  After tryouts, they tell the other scouts that Chibi Usa didn’t make it in because she is too young, but somehow, Usagi made it through.  The next day, the other scouts tag along for tryouts.  Fish Eye also shows up, as the director of the ballet is her next target.  The director sees Fish Eye perform, which makes him think that he would be could as the lead for the play.  A fellow ballerina named Kairko becomes upset and leaves.  It is found out that she is in love with the director, and had hopes to get the part.  In the end Fish Eye is not picked and he takes out his plan on the director.
