At Sony’s E3 presentation yesterday, it announced finally (pun intended) the anticipated remake of the classic Final Fantasy VII. Rumors have circulated since Sunday about the announcement, but Square Enix kept a very tight lip; not commenting one way or the other if it was true. Many like yours truly had been skeptical about the rumor considering fans like myself had been clambering for it for years after the release of Advent Children; and being disheartened when Square would outright deny that they would even make a reboot. Now it’s real. No release date has been set, but as part of the rumor mill from Sunday, it was suggested that the game would be released in 2017, the year of the games 20th anniversary.
